The client simply wanted us to build him a fun '32 to take the grandkids for ice cream. Obtaining an original 1932 steel roadster is nearly impossible these days, heck that's almost a 100 year old car, so instead, we used a Brookville Roadster reproduction body. The Brookville Roadster company has been producing 1928-32 bodies for over fifty years and offers a number of options to save time and resources on your build.
This roadster was styled as a period-correct hot rods, that is if this '32 was built in the '60s, they would of used "modern" components from recent years to hop up their ride. This inspired our choice of a Desoto Hemi engine, different and big power for the day with custom 1953 Chrysler 300c air cleaners to adorn the engine compartment. It's quite the eye-catching look, very different than seeing the typical air cleaner/carb sticking up as we see on most hot rods of the day.
Choices for the interior were lead by practicality, durability really, so we chose a high performance leather-alternative to withstand not only the sun but wear and tear from going in and out of the rumble seat.
