This car is the best of the best, a collaboration between Quantum Race Works who built the BEAMS engine and us, 1945 Speed and Custom who did the overall styling and restoration. The collaboration produced an exceptional car for the track and head-turning on the streets.

When we say "every nut and bolt," this car is an example of the depth of our projects, starting off with stripping the body down to bear metal and building it back better than ever. The thing with late 1970s Celicas is very few, in-tact examples still exist so sourcing parts for this car was was one of the biggest challenges. They truly don't exist, a true unicorn in the present day. Parts that couldn't be sourced, like small plastic components, were 3D printed and fit seamlessly with the originally restored parts.

If you could hear this car run, scream really, it revs like a street bike. The engine, a 3S-GE Breakthrough Engine with Advanced Mechanism System, affectionately known as a "BEAMS," was made from '80 to '07 for a few different cars, this generation was for the Altezza RS200. What makes this gen of BEAMS special is that it has VVT-i (variable timing on both the intake and exhaust cams) just like the famed successor, the Toyota 2JZ.

The interior is a quintessential restomod using the stock dash and console, contrasted with modified details such as a MoTec C127 digital dash, Recaro Classic seats covered in houndstooth and a custom roll cage to meet tech specs for track days.

Fitment makes or breaks a car, so continue with the theme of custom Japanese styling, Jeremy had a custom set of Hyashi wheels fabricated (most are 4-lug, this car is 5). Not easy but certainly worth the wait.

Best part about this car is the owner, who plans to really drive and enjoy the car. The greatest compliment.
