Coach built bodies really came into style in the early twentieth century with the craftsmen who previously built horse-drawn carriages, exploring their creativity and refining their craft.

Around the time that these bodies gained popularity, an interest in track racing took hold.

This car was built for just that intent, to race with other old time race cars on the track.

1945 built on what the owner began, finishing the Flathead engine, mounting it onto the frame, finishing the body and interior to make a race-ready smooth body.
